The 2023 Ducati Desert X was launched recently, with a new navigation feature and additional paintjob.

The model was well-received when it was launched in 2022 as it is a much purer (read: smaller and lighter) Ducati adventure/off-road bike when compared with to the Multistrada Enduro. It even sported the old Cagiva Elefant's "Lucky Strike" graphics when it won the Paris-Dakar Rally. (Ducati was Cagiva's subsidiary during that time.)

Coming back to the 2023 model, it now sports a new turn-by-turn navigational aid. As with other bikes using this feature, it is connects the bike's LFT screen to the Ducati Multimedia System app in rider's smartphone via Bluetooth. The rider only needs to input his destination and the LFT will show the trip's data and way. The LFT unit will also relay the way by voice if the rider connects a Bluetooth headset to it.

As for the new colour scheme, Ducati calls it RR22, which is akin to the camouflage on prototypes. The current Matte Star White Silk will continue to be sold alongside.
