The Sprint Race format is new for the MotoGP class beginning this year, following in the footsteps of the World Superbike Championship and Formula 1.

MotoGP racers, Jorge Martin and Jack Miller officially debuted the new Alpinestars Supertech R10 at the recently concluded Sepang Pre-Season Tests. The helmet sans graphics was first seen on Andrea Dovizioso in November last year during the Misano tests.

There were 1,106 crashes recorded in all three classes in MotoGP in 2022.
