As expected, the 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 was launched recently, bringing the Diavel model to even greater (read: meaner) heights.

Ducati designers/engineers managed to create a more muscular design, while retaining the unmistakable Diavel silhouette. New visual cues include the stunning four exhaust tips, bulging "shoulders" and taillight which shines through a honeycomb structure like the Desmosedici MotoGP bike's exhaust tips.

Powering the new beast is the 1158cc Granturismo V4, which also gives the Multistrada V4 its go juice. This engine is not called "Desmo" something-something, as it does without the desmodromic valvetrain. The ECU now shuts off the rear two cylinders during slow speed running, instead of just during idling to save some fuel and the rider's inner thighs from being roasted.

The engine produces a hefty 168hp, and 126Nm of torque. Plenty of poke for a "cruiser," no?

The rider can find the usual suite of Ducati electronics such as traction control, cornering ABS and more. Only thing is, Ducati has announced only the standard model. The upcoming S model should have electronic suspension plus several more features.

Ducati claims the wet weight of 235kg.

It is sold in the USA for USD26,695 (RM115,357) which should be (a lot) more when it hits our shores.
